Marcela Taboada
Marcela is an independent and self-taught photographer who has lived in Oaxaca, Mexico, since 1986. For fifteen years, she has produced for Maine Photographic Workshops, the Seattle Photographic Center, and PhotoXpeditions International Workshops. She sits on the advisory council of the Alvarez Bravo Photographic Center in Oaxaca. Her work has been published widely in Mexico en el Tiempo, La Jornada, Milenio, Reforma, Artes de Mexico, Travesias, Deep, Elle Decor, Quien, Hasselblad Forum, Green Mountains, GEO, The New York Times, and The London Telegraph Magazine. She has taught photography at universities, Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, and National Geographic PhotoCamp, and led workshops for children at the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Alvarez Bravo Photographic Center. Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in Mexico and abroad.
