Huang Wenhai
Huang Wenhai was born in central China’s Hunan province. In 1995, he moved to Beijing to study courses at the Beijing Film Academy. From 1996 to 2000, he worked as a journalist, screenwriter and director for China’s national television channels. In 2001, he left that job to become an independent filmmaker. Since 2002, he has worked on a series of documentaries as director (Wo Men, 2008, and Dream Walking, 2005), cinematographer (Alone, 2013, Three Sisters, 2012, and A Journal of Crude Oil, 2008), and editor.
